New York Summer Swimming

Love New York but miss your  neighborhood swimming pool? Here are eight free or inexpensive places to swim this summer.

Asser Levy Recreation Center

Free outdoor pool is open from July to Labor Day, M-F 6:30am-9:30pm; Weekends 8am-4pm

Dry Dock

Free outdoor pool open from 10am to 6pm.

Hamilton Fish Recreation Center

Free outdoor pool & kiddie pool open from 11am to 7pm daily.

Tony Dapolito Recreation Center

Free outdoor pool, $75 membership for indoor pool. Open M-F 7am-10pm, Weekends 9am-5:30pm.

The Hotel Grace

Indoor pool with swim-up bar, $10 and two drink minimum.
Bonus: Poolside DJ in the evenings.

John Jay Pool and Recreation

Outdoor pool and diving board. $25 Suggested annual donation. Open 11am to 7pm.

Lasker Pool/Skating Rink
Central Park at Lenox Avenue, near 110th St.
Free outdoor pool open July 1 to Labor day from 11am to 2:45 and 4pm to 6:45pm.
