"Down the Block: Time and Place in the East Village," reflections from Pete Hamill

Come celebrate the launch of The Local East Village with Pete Hamill! Refreshments and wine will be served.
Hamill lived in the East Village in the late 50s and early 60s, when Jimi Hendrix lived across the street, the novelist Ted Hoagland down the block, and W.H. Auden a block away. Hamill will talk about ways to discover the neighborhood's hidden past, from the Tenement Museum bookstore to the archives of the Village Voice.
