If you're looking for a way to enjoy a few days of sunny, 80 degree weather after the torrential downpour that started this week, why not enjoy an outdoor film? It's free, not to mention a great way to get out and explore the city. Here are a few ideas to get you started!
1) There are still three films left in this week's Central Park Conservancy Film Festival. Films are shown north of the Sheep Meadow, behind Minderal Springs. Films start at 8, but the gates open at 6:30. Feel free to bring a blanket and a picnic, but remember that chairs, glass bottles, and alcohol are not allowed.
Titles include:
Thursday, 8/26-Saturday Night Fever (1977)
Friday 8/27-King Kong (1933)
Saturday 8/28-Manhattan (1979)

2) If you're in the mood for a Friday evening film, but don't feel like watching a giant gorilla wreack havoc, check out the showing of The Godfather, Part II presented by Rolling Roadshow on a rooftop in Little Italy.
